Three group meal formats: browse a market, sit down together at a restaurant, or arrange delivery to an approved venue.

Celebration works well when the point of an Orlando outing is to spend time together, rather than cover as much ground as possible. A meal near the lake, a little browsing and an optional walk can give visiting friends or colleagues a proper break from a busy schedule. The best choice depends on whether you want a casual afternoon, a hosted dinner or food brought to a gathering elsewhere.

For this October 22 edition, we have paired the coming Sunday’s farmers market with several ways to eat and meet in Celebration. Front Street is the focus for a walkable outing; Celebration Brewing Company is a separate choice on Future Way. You do not need to fit both into one visit. For convention teams, this is an off-site plan to enjoy after the working day or on a free morning, not a quick lunch run from the exhibit hall.

Sunday, October 25: start with the market

The Celebration Farmers Market is listed for Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Eastern Time at Celebration Town Center, 701 Front Street. Admission is free. The organizer describes a mix of produce, prepared foods and handmade goods, with the schedule subject to change.

The market is the flexible part of the day: a place to browse before lunch, with everyone free to choose what catches their eye. That suits a few friends who enjoy exploring independently. For a business group that needs to be seated and talking together at a set time, a restaurant arrangement is the stronger choice.

An earlier market visit also leaves more of the afternoon available for the lakefront. There is no need to turn it into a shopping assignment. A small purchase or an interesting conversation with a vendor can be enough, and the published listing should be checked again before setting out if weather threatens.

Leave time for the lakefront

Celebration’s Lake Rianhard Loop starts at Bloom Street and Front Street, follows the lake and passes through Lakeside Celebration Park. The visitor guide also identifies the Downtown Lakes Loop for people who want a different walk. These are useful choices to have nearby without committing everyone to the same distance.

For a mixed-age family or colleagues who have spent a day standing at a convention, keep the walk optional. A shorter stretch beside the water can serve the purpose just as well as completing a route. A seated meal should not depend on every guest finishing a circuit, and a comfortable turnaround point is more useful than an ambitious target.

The Town Center directory brings the dining and shopping choices together and lists free parking in the district. That does not promise an open space beside a restaurant. Keep arrival separate from the restaurant’s seating time, and let the public streets and paths be part of the outing rather than treating the neighborhood as a private event venue.

Columbia for a dinner with a clear sense of occasion

Columbia Restaurant, at 649 Front Street, offers Spanish and Cuban cooking in a lakeside setting. Its published hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Eastern Time. The location provides a reservation link and a separate contact for events and banquets.

Columbia is worth exploring when dinner itself is the occasion: visiting relatives, a client meal or a team’s final evening together. Choosing a single restaurant gives the gathering a shared beginning and avoids splitting guests between separate counters. It also means the walk can be a pleasant addition rather than the evening’s organizing principle.

For a larger party, Columbia’s group-dining guidance directs guests to the relevant location to discuss capacity, menus and availability. A normal table reservation and an event arrangement are not interchangeable. The Celebration location is the one to use here; photos or room names from another Columbia restaurant do not establish what is available locally.

Bring the meal to the gathering when that is easier

Columbia also offers curbside takeout catering for group events. Its official group page links Celebration to ezCater as an additional ordering route. That is a marketplace option, not evidence that a marketplace price matches a direct restaurant quote.

A catered meal makes the most sense when the gathering already has a comfortable, permitted place to happen. Think of a hosted reception or an off-site meeting where moving everyone to a restaurant would interrupt the conversation. Restaurant dining is usually the simpler choice when the venue, seating and service would otherwise need to be assembled from scratch.

The useful comparison is the whole occasion, not just a tray price. A seated dinner includes a setting and a serving rhythm; a collected catering order needs a suitable destination and a plan for serving it. Neither format is automatically cheaper or more relaxed. Choose the format that makes guests comfortable and keeps the hosting manageable, then let the menu follow that decision.

Town Tavern for a casual meal, with a separate path for functions

Celebration Town Tavern, at 721 Front Street, offers a menu spanning New England favorites, seafood, sandwiches, burgers and children’s dishes. Regular restaurant hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Eastern Time. Sunday brunch is listed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Eastern Time.

That Sunday timing makes the tavern a possible companion to the market, particularly for a party that wants a conventional meal after browsing. It is also worth noting that bar hours run later than restaurant hours and the website marks its late-night menu as temporarily suspended. An open bar is not a reason to assume the full kitchen is still serving.

For a hosted gathering, the functions page describes separate menus and conditions, including possible room charges, a deposit and a guaranteed attendance deadline. Those published terms are subject to change. A current proposal from the functions team will give a clearer picture of the total for your date and party size.

Celebration Brewing: a separate destination for an informal group

Celebration Brewing Company is at 1601 Future Way, rather than on the Front Street lakefront. Its visitor information distinguishes priority seating for groups of eight or more from walk-in seating for smaller parties. It also lists private events, corporate parties and brewery buyouts as possible arrangements.

That makes it a useful alternative when the group wants an informal pub setting rather than a lakeside restaurant dinner. Give it its own place in the day, with the Future Way address clearly identified for guests arriving separately. There is plenty of value in settling into one gathering instead of trying to combine every dining option into a single outing.

The brewery welcomes minors accompanied by a parent or guardian and allows leashed, well-behaved dogs on the outdoor patio. That gives families a place to consider alongside adult social groups. For a business conversation that needs privacy, explore the private-event arrangements instead of relying on ordinary priority seating. The right choice depends on how much of the space your gathering needs.

Keep the off-site outing separate from convention catering

A Celebration dinner can be a welcome change of pace for an Orlando event team, but it is not a substitute for the venue’s arrangements during show hours. The Orange County Convention Center’s food and beverage page provides Sodexo Live! catering resources, an exhibitor menu and an exhibitor ordering route.

For a crew with limited time away from the hall, the practical choice is to keep the working meal near the work and save Celebration for a genuine break. This avoids building a relaxed neighborhood visit around a tight return deadline. It also leaves room for the people who need to finish later or prefer to return to their hotel.

Food prepared by a restaurant does not automatically have permission to enter a convention space. Off-site dining, catering at an approved gathering place and service inside an event are separate arrangements. Keeping those distinctions clear protects the enjoyable part of the plan: people can sit down together without the meal becoming another show-day complication.

Four considerations for an arranged handoff: location, approved access, recipient and timing.
