Maitland makes a good change of pace when your Orlando visit has room for an afternoon away from the convention district. There is art to explore, an outdoor meal at Enzian and several restaurants that can give a group a proper place to gather. Choose one activity and one meal, and the outing can feel generous without becoming a full-day production.

For Sunday, October 11, start with the museums if art is the priority, then settle into an early dinner. For a future team gathering, look at the private-dining and catering choices below. We’ve also included the Sunday farmers market as a morning idea for another visit. Its early closing matters: it is not an afternoon food stop.

An afternoon at the Art & History Museums

The Art & History Museums – Maitland main campus at 231 West Packwood Avenue brings the Maitland Art Center, Maitland History Museum and Telephone Museum together under one admission. The museums and garden open Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m.–4 p.m. Eastern Time. That gives Sunday visitors a daytime anchor before dinner, while Monday calls for a different activity.

We’d make this the first stop for a small group whose interests range from art to local history. People can spend longer in the museum that catches their attention and regroup afterward, rather than moving through everything at the same speed. Leave the final part of the afternoon open enough to enjoy the visit before heading to the restaurant.

Some grounds may close for private events. The Waterhouse Residence Museum on the separate Lake Lily campus is currently closed for renovations, so it should not be part of a promised house-tour itinerary. The Packwood campus lists accessible parking and pathway ramps; visitors with particular access needs can arrange the most comfortable route with the museum.

Luke’s: let the restaurant carry the evening

Luke’s Kitchen and Bar, at 640 South Orlando Avenue, serves seasonally influenced American food. It is a useful choice for colleagues who want a seated meal with room to catch up after separate schedules. For Sunday, the restaurant’s hours distinguish brunch, 10 a.m.–3 p.m., from dinner, 4–10 p.m., Eastern Time. Monday through Saturday hours are 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Eastern Time.

That Sunday break between services makes a difference to an art-and-dinner plan. An afternoon museum visit followed by a dinner reservation from 4 p.m. onward is a more natural pairing than assuming brunch continues all day. Anyone joining only for dinner can come directly to the restaurant without having to keep up with the earlier outing.

For a hosted celebration or client gathering, Luke’s offers private-event arrangements, including private rooms and a full restaurant buyout. Choose the setting around the conversation you want to have. A social table may be enough for friends; remarks or a presentation deserve an event arrangement that gives the group its own space.

Eden Bar: an outdoor meal with an easygoing pace

Eden Bar at Enzian, at 1300 South Orlando Avenue, offers outdoor dining without requiring a movie ticket. This is our direction for a smaller group that would enjoy lunch or dinner in an open-air setting. Sunday hours are 11 a.m.–11 p.m. Eastern Time; Monday and Tuesday begin at 4 p.m. Eastern Time, so those days do not work for an Eden lunch.

Give this meal a little room to unfold. It can be the whole outing for friends who simply want to talk, or the relaxed finish to a museum afternoon. A shared starter and individual meals can make the table feel sociable while letting people follow their own appetites. The linked food page provides the current menu routes.

Because the bar is outdoors, severe weather can affect its hours. An indoor preference or a tightly timed corporate program may be better served by a different restaurant arrangement. For a hosted gathering at Eden, Enzian has a dedicated events contact; ordinary public opening hours do not set aside space for a group.

Add a film when everyone wants the same experience

A screening at Enzian gives a small group something shared to enjoy, with dining available inside the theater. Its ticket and seating guidance explains an important distinction: ordinary admission does not come with a reserved table. Table reservations are a benefit for Contributor-level members and above; regular members and nonmembers use first-come seating.

The theater recommends arriving 45 minutes before the screening, with doors generally opening about 30 minutes ahead. Build that arrival into the evening rather than letting an outdoor dinner run right up to showtime. The official film listings linked from the FAQ are the place to choose the screening and confirm tickets.

We’d offer the movie as an optional addition to a social gathering. Some guests may prefer a meal and an early finish. For a larger team that needs to sit together, the box office should settle the seating arrangement before the invitation treats it as confirmed.

Francesco’s: an Italian table or a private Wine Room

Francesco’s Ristorante & Pizzeria, at 400 South Orlando Avenue, gives the evening an Italian direction, with pizza, pasta and seafood among the menu choices. Sunday hours are 3–9 p.m. Eastern Time. An early dinner here can follow the museums without adding another major activity to the day.

For a small hosted event, the restaurant’s Wine Room holds up to 20 people, with a maximum reservation duration of two and a half hours. Food-and-beverage minimums vary by season and meal period, and late cancellation can carry a fee. Those terms make it a defined event option rather than an open-ended place for a group to linger all evening.

The same page offers catering delivery with 48 hours’ notice required. Shorter-notice requests may be unavailable or subject to a rush fee, and delivery has a minimum, gratuity and possible additional charges. Consider it for a planned meal later in the week. A restaurant dinner is the simpler route when the occasion is already close and the group wants the setting as well as the food.

Antonio’s: bring the Italian meal to the gathering

For an office lunch or an approved off-site meeting space, Antonio’s Maitland catering offers another local option. Its catering page describes pasta, rotisserie chicken and salads, with delivery in Maitland, Winter Park and greater Orlando. The restaurant recommends ordering 24–48 hours ahead; delivery minimums and fees can depend on the destination.

This fits a day when moving the whole team would use up much of the lunch break. A mixed spread can give the table variety, while individual alternatives keep guests with different dietary needs included. The restaurant should confirm suitable dishes and preparation for those guests rather than relying on a broad menu description.

For a meeting, the nicest version of a delivered lunch gives people somewhere to put work aside and eat together. A serving area separate from presentation equipment helps the room change purpose for the break. Agree on the meal’s arrival around the actual agenda, and let the gathering stay in one place when another restaurant journey would add more effort than enjoyment.

For another Sunday morning: browse Lake Lily’s market

The Maitland Farmer’s Market runs Sundays, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. Eastern Time, at Lake Lily Park, 701 Lake Lily Drive. The city lists produce, flowers, food, crafts and gifts, with live music provided by Performing Arts Matter. Free parking is available in the Lake Lily lot and the south lot behind the Cottage and Waterhouse buildings, reached from Maitland Avenue.

Save this for a morning when browsing is the point. A small party can follow its interests, pick up a snack and enjoy the setting without expecting every person to order from the same vendor. For visitors traveling home later, choose purchases that suit the journey and the storage available.

The market’s 1 p.m. closing makes it a different plan from an afternoon museum visit followed by dinner. For a future Sunday, an early market stop and a separately arranged lunch can work well together. Keep a larger hosted meal at a restaurant or approved event space, where the seating and service can match the occasion.

For convention teams, make Maitland a genuine off-site break

If your hotel or show is near International Drive, give Maitland its own place in the schedule. It works better as an afternoon away or a dinner destination than a restaurant stop squeezed into a short booth break. Colleagues can join for the meal even if they cannot make the museum visit, which keeps the invitation welcoming to people with different responsibilities.

Meals inside the Orange County Convention Center follow the venue and show’s arrangements. The OCCC’s Sodexo Live! resources include exhibitor catering and ordering information. A Maitland restaurant offering delivery does not establish permission to bring that order into a convention hall.

For an approved off-site meal, a settled receiving point keeps the arrival out of the host’s way. The same care helps with finished printing or small event supplies: the right building, an allowed entrance and someone expecting the item make the handoff easier. Keep restricted hall access and larger freight with the event’s authorized services, and let the off-site gathering be the part of the visit where the team can relax.
